Greymouth - Franz Joseph

Petra: Felvetted a bakancsot a pizsamádhoz?
Marcsi has arrived but we couldn't make it on time so we ended up running after each other in Greymouth. Finally, we met and started off to the Southern Alps. One of the glaciers was 'explored' by an Austrian (Julian Haast) and he named it after his boss, Franz Joseph. On the way we stopped at Hokitika for a short visit to the Jade Factory and picked up some takeaway fish and chips. There is a village called Pukekura with two habitants. They run a café world famous for its possum pie. Possums were imported by an australian but they escaped free and now are eating the top of the trees so badly that they are hunted. At the bushman café there was a deer who was eating our icecream. Further on we plonged into Lake Ianthe. Later the evening we have arrived to the metropolis of Franz Joseph, food, and drinks and a spa - we couldn't remember when was the last time we took a bath.
Petra: Did you put on your boots with your pijamas?
Marcsi: Yeah, I have no other shoes.
We started our sudden glow worm trip with these two sentences. Thousands of tiny shining points in the forest - a must see but no photos, sorry :)
