Toad Hall network

Toad hall logoA blog note written by Sarah.
Grove to the music. Bounce to the beat. Listen to the rhythm. And for those of us with our own mental diddy, dance on the empty street under the night lights to break the odd silence. Like a fool I tell you, a fool surrounded by good friends with a tummy filled with great food. Tears of laughter is always a good way to say goodbye. Or just to get people to realize that there will always be other meetings in life and that its only goodbye for now. If you really can't wait that long, there is always new ways to keep in touch like skype, email, and the classic telephone ó landline or mobile.
In seeing some of my friends approach their departure so closely, its an odd feeling to think of what we have experienced together and how everything came about.
Way back in the good old Toad Hall days of Napier, I meet lots of people from different backgrounds and experiences. Living together, working together. After all most three months of living there off and on, an interesting network of people was born from those coming and going of Toad Hall and was well used over our ten day trip of the south island.
Shortly before leaving Motueka on our journey, some friends of Toad Hall meet up with us where one later joined us for the first day of our trip to Greymouth - five people who have all meet each other due to this one location of TH. Later in Franz Josef, we again meet up with other friends of TH who introduced us to the softest goat imaginable and local glowworms. From here, we again meet up with more friends in Queenstown and the same group again in Christchurch.
This network oddly became used when a headlamp was left under a tent in Greymouth and needed to catch up with us again in Christchurch before the flight to south america. From the friend in Greymouth down to Franz Josef to our friends there did the headlamp go. The group in Queenstown going to Chirstchruch then picked up the headlamp on their way to make it, twelve hours before depature. Fantastic. And all because of the good old friends of Toad Hall.
Dancing under the amber lights in the streets of Christchurch, wearing a hat of another Toad Hall friend that had already left the country of the last night our Hungarian members will have in NZed - for this trip anyways - we have all come together again one more time. Tears of laughter prodiving even better memories of our last time in NZed together. And with the headlamp of course.
